2011 Santa Clara Law and Law Career Services Diversity Gala

Santa Clara Law is a leader in law school diversity: it is among the top ten most diverse law schools in the U.S. Our students and alumni founded the Diversity Gala in order to foster an atmosphere of inclusion for these young lawyers. The Diversity Gala is an opportunity to form relationships that develop into mentorships, to be assured by representatives from participating organizations that diversity is highly valued and to recognize the contributions that prominent members of the legal profession have made to further the interest of minority groups.

HMCE Volunteer

This year Santa Clara has been selected to host the regional ABA Negotiation Competition. This event is a wonderful opportunity for students to watch live negotiations, network with the professionals slated to judge the rounds (including Judges and practicing attorneys in the area), and interact with students from a wide variety of law schools

To make the event a success, HMCE needs volunteers for November 4th, 5th, and 6th. (Remember the MPRE is Nov. 5 for those taking it) Sign up using the following google spreadsheet link HMCE has provided. Put BLSA in parenthesis next to your name and we could win a prize! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApENO8v_3I2ZdFNMZ1EtVkZwblMwWVNIN1NyRWFaeVE&hl=en_US#gid=0

For the Supreme Court activity, we need volunteers to act as Supreme Court Justices for 8th grade oral arguments (not a competition). SALSA will provide the material for both sets of activities.
